Earthbound Company Ltd Launches Celebrity Endorsed Environmental Infomercial: JAMAICAS ENVIRONMENT OFF BALANCE
Jamaicas Environment is off balanced so warns Earthbound Company Ltd, the only local company that specializes in 100% biodegradable food containers, utensils and packaging. To promote and spread the need for Eco awareness, Earthbound Company Ltd launched an infomercial aptly titled JAMAICA ENVIRONMENT OFF BALANCE. This infomercial was the brainchild of Managing Director Yolande Rattray-Wright.
Environmental awareness and protection has always been a strong passion and one of the greatest long term concerns for Ms Rattray-Wright, hence the conception of Earthbound Company Ltd in 2006. Since then the company has been busy promoting their special line of biodegradable packaging solutions, perfect and healthy for everyone and extremely relevant to the Jamaican landscape where box lunches (and take out/delivery) is a big part of our everyday life, in our schools, workplaces and personal favourite eateries .
Since its presence in the local market, Earthbound Company Ltd. has been looking for new ways to spread the word in an effective and memorable fashion. The answer is the infomercial that was unveiled at the BOB MARLEY LEGENDS CAFÉ, 56 Hope Road, Kingston on Tuesday January 19th 2010 @ 6:30 pm.
The infomercial, which delves into the myriad of ways in which we are hurting our environment, particularly in areas that are not renewable short term if at all - such as our coral reefs, rivers, landfills and just about any area where we dump our non recyclable refuse, highlights this plight in conjunction with the endorsement of a few reputable and environmentally conscious celebrities, such as Tami Chyn, Tesanne Chin, Steel Pulse, the Honorable Usain Bolt among others.
Ms RattrayWright who through Earthbound Company Ltd spearheaded the production of this infomercial commented that the business of protecting and preserving our environment is a critical one; the vision of Earthbound Company Ltd is to sensitize Jamaica on the benefits of becoming environmentally responsible in ways that will maintain and sustain a healthy lifestyle and country. One of the quickest ways to get a message out is to have it delivered by faces and personalities we know and love.
Guest speaker for the launch was Joan Gordon-Webley, Executive Director of National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) along with Agostino Pinnock, PRO Manager of the National Environmental Planning Agency (NEPA), and Denise Williams, PR Manager for Flow who also brought greetings.
The launch concluded with complementary copies of the infomercial being handed out to relevant organizations to aid in it being accessible to all of Jamaica not only for information but also as a teaching aid.
