Yawn. Another day. Another diss song. The latest salvo is by the Warlord himself, Bounty Killer.

Released this week on the Net, the song, Gaza @#$ and Drag, starts off with an intro in a faux Roundhead voice, The people dem say ah Kartel bore him tongue starhim ah deejay like him a 15, and ah talk bout crush ice and whip cream.

Well, its official. It appears that Bounty Killer is pressing along with his Alliance vs Gaza campaign, dropping a new single that hurls disses at (who else) Vybz Kartel. The deejay appears to have abandoned all pretence at being an elder statesman in dancehall and has descended into the lowest form of dancehall blinksmanship possible, exchanging scatalogical jabs with an opponent who is willing to say anything for a forward. Can Killer possibly sustain this until December 26th? It seems were going to find out because the public continues to have an appetite for these below-average diss songs.

The only problem is that as Bounty Killer persists with this form of attack, he just sounds, well, old. His rhyming schemes are circa 1995 and certainly dont belong in this millennium. You can listen to the song at

He sounds like he is just trying to make a rhyme, and why use the word pajama in a line? He is putting the audience to sleep. Who writes this %&%*, anyway? Somebody needs to assemble Killers writers, gag them and roll them in a barrel down a steep hill to the bottom of the ocean.

Still, there are a few choice lines for instance, Kartel go join Lodge, thats not my chile, and humorous little laugh lines like Shorty mek yu wash draws like Ashanti and yu have Beenie balls ah play tug-a-war are at least mildly entertaining. And when he accuses Kartel of oral gymnastics such as him have masseuse ah sit pon him lip fi him/ah nyam go go with crushed ice and whipped cream, Killer sounds like he is recounting his own personal sexcapades in Kingstons grimy underbelly of sex shops, strip clubs and massage parlours.

He also tries to make fun of all the artistes in the Portmore Empire by riffing on their names, for instance Jahvinci to jakinky, and Blak Ryno to Blak Rihanna etcetera.

The whole thing is @#$getable. Try again, Killer.
