Popular dancehall personality Lena British is yet again making news in fashion and entertainment circles as she gets set to launch her own designer hair line.

The line, called 'Lena's Island Beauty', has some 16 different styles and is dedicated to making the Jamaican woman look and feel beautiful. She will officially launch the hair line on June 8, at The View, one of Kingston's newest entertainment hot spots, owned by dancehall veteran, Junior Reid.

"Everybody thinks I'm a fashion guru, and maybe it's true... but I know what looks good, I like to look good and I like to feel beautiful, and every woman likes to feel that way," Lena British said.

The dancehall beauty says that was the inspiration behind her decision to do the line.

"I have a range of designs and colours that can fit any woman, and can be made into any style to fit any occasion," she boasted.

Lena's Island Beauty originally started out as an exclusive beauty product for her hair salon, Inner Beauty Salon, but demand for the brand has increased.

"Right now, we are in discussions with people who want to stock and sell the hair in their shops and in some wholesales. We are already in a few shops in Kingston, but our drive is expanding and the hair line is getting popular. I hope that sooner or later we're going to be available everywhere, and in the future, in South Florida and in the UK," she said.

Lena's Island Beauty comes in both human and synthetic varieties, and styles include 'Reggae Vibes', 'Inner Beauty', 'Uptown Goddess', 'Downtown Empress', 'First Lady', 'Choice', 'Divalicious', 'Ghetto Fabulosity', 'Island Queen', 'Sea Breeze', 'Tropical Princess', 'Dancehall Diva', 'Passion Vibes' and 'Rhythm Vibes'.

"Over time, I will expand these products, as I will continue to keep the fashionable woman in mind, whether you want to randomly go for a glamorous look, or they want to keep their hair immaculate at all times. Lena's Island Beauty is for you," she said.
