A man who allegedly stole four goats at Mount Pleasant, Porus, Manchester, was chopped to death by residents in the community yesterday.
Dead is Donovan Robinson, 41, of Mike Town district, Manchester.
Reports from the CCN's liaison officer for Manchester are that about 5:10 a.m., Robinson and two other men drove into the community and stole the goats. Residents heard of the incident and intercepted the vehicle. They were fired at by two of the men who escaped in bushes.
Robinson in a bid to escape, crashed the vehicle and was held and chopped to death. The police were called and on their arrival his body was seen on the roadway. The burnt vehicle was seen some distance away. The body was removed to the morgue.
