Dancehall artiste in police custody



Popular dancehall artiste, 23-year-old Laden was arrested last evening and charged with disorderly conduct and using indecent language.

Laden whose real name is Okefe Aaron was taken into custody by the Junction Police in St Elizabeth.

It is alleged that about 6:30, a friend of Laden was having a conversation with a female student.

A police sergeant reportedly approached the student and enquired why she was still on the streets in uniform at that time of the evening, and ordered her home.

Laden who was nearby told the student not to leave.

An argument reportedly developed between Laden and the policeman during which the artiste is reported to have used expletives.

Hes booked to appear in the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrates Court today.
