Todays Jamaica Observer newspaper features a Steven Jackson article titled Music Stakeholders Concerned About Online Piracy. It takes a look at the impact of file-sharing sites (such as thepiratebay.org) on Jamaicas music industry. Jeremy Harding (manager of international deejay Sean Paul), Christopher Edmunds (of Rebelmix, a legal online music site) and Evon Mulling (head of the Jamaica Musical Society - JAMMS) are quoted in the article. "Right now even producers are giving their music for free anyway. I get publicists and producers bandolooing their own stuff, forgoing the sales in order to get the hype" so what is the problem here??? producers give out their own music FOR FREE!!! __________________
