Perverted robbers are on the loose in St Mary, the police have told to THE STAR.

As if robbing people is not enough, these thugs are reportedly being very 'touchy' while carrying out their criminal acts.

According to the police, both male and female victims of several recent robbery cases related to investigators that they were only a few 'feel' away from being fondled.

THE STAR was informed that the victims at first reported that they were just robbed. However after further questioning, they revealed were touched on parts of their bodies.

"Over the past few weeks we have had some reports of robberies ... . Initial reports suggest that the victims were just held up and robbed. However, we were afterwards told by the same victims that they were touched up, so to speak ... . It sounds very weird," Inspector John Mullings of the Area Two police related to THE STAR.

The police say there have been at least seven such cases over the last three weeks.


Victims' underwear

During the robbery ordeal, their private parts were felt after the accused thieves raised 'concerns' of items being hidden in victims' underwear.

However, the robbers are described to have acted on their concerns too long and thus suggests that there was some 'hidden' reason for those interests.

"The victims were told to recount everything that happened throughout the incident and they all claim their privates were touched repeatedly after they were told that they were hiding things in their underwear," Inspector Mullings explained.

The police say this was the case for both males and females.

In the case of the males, the victims were at first asked if they were hiding a firearm.

Inspector Mullings added, "Probably, the men were trying to justify their acts ... . One victim I had a chance to speak with said his robber remarked to him dat nuff a unnu bway a hide gun inna unnu undapants eno so mi haffi check."

As for the women, they were asked if they were concealing money.

Meanwhile, the police say as their investigations progress if these men are caught, sexually related charges could be also laid against them.
