Friday, March 13th was the date Toronto Dancehall was waiting for, and Dancehall Diva Tifa was the star of the show, shining like the brightest star in the galaxy.
Answering the call from Niyah of MYC Entertainment, Tifa delivered for the fans who attended 'Statement' which was a fundraiser in support of the Bustamante Hospital for Children. The night got off to a late start, but once Tifa started making her way to the stage, fans began to rush for their positions at the front for a look at the female artists first time appearance in Canada.
Not disappointing, Tifa delivered hit song after hit song clearly, and had the ladies singing the hook to "Crawny Gyal", her recently released "Spell It Out" produced by Ward 21, and Tick It Like A Clock on Stephen McGregors Boasty Riddim'. The men watched Tifa's performance with delight, taking in her every move.
"Tifa gwaan good" said Canadian Dancehall Queen Simone, who gave non-stop 'forwards' for Tifa's lyrical delivery. Nitro Da CD Sound had the Dancehall vibes rocking with their throwback segment, 'maddening' the masses with the Beenie Mans chune Licky Back, as well as Fiesta and Joyride riddims.
Bigga Boss brought the dance to a stop with his Hip Hop and R&B segment as the crowd 'popped champagne' and 'lived their lives' is fine fashion. Nikki Hype and JLogix kept the night moving as hosts; JLogix performed his hit single "Wedding Band. Tifa will be attending photo shoots, doing interviews on radio and print, and will head back to Jamaica on Sunday!
