Fraudulent Cheques in Circulation

The Hunts Bay Police is urging the public to be on the look-out for fraudulent cheques written on the account of Issa Transport Group held by the Bank of Nova Scotia.

Police reports are that about 11 a.m. yesterday, the police were called to a business place at Spanish Town Road, Kingston 11, where four cheques were handed over to them.

The cheques bearing serial numbers 4982137, 4982138, 4982067 and 4982131, were used to make purchases amounting to $682, 361.00 between February 20 and 24 this year.

Investigators are advising persons, who may come across cheques beginning with serial number 4982, to contact the entity on whose name the cheques are drawn or the bank at which the account is held, before honouring them
