A man on a murder charge who is also accused of threatening a Crown witness denied the allegation in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

The court was told that Dave McFarlane threatened the witness, who is to testify against him in the murder case. It is alleged that he tried to dissuade her from giving evidence against him.

The witness, the court was told, is the mother of the accused man's child. McFarlane was denied bail after the Crown told the court that it is believed that he will further interfere with the witness and possibly the case.
