Robert Acquafresca is having another excellent season at Cagliari. With nine goals to his name so far, he is only one strike short of last seasons tally.
The 21-year-old is presently on loan to the Sardinian side from Inter. However, the Nerazzurri are expected to add him to their ranks next season as coach Jose Mourinho apparently holds the youngster in high esteem.
If I concentrate and close my eyes, I see lots of fog in front of me, Acquafresca joked in an interview with Tuttosport.
I will go back to Inter next June because they still own my contract. The Nerazzurri represent a dream for me and a target to achieve. It will be up to me to persuade them to gamble on Acquafresca.
And at the same time, I will need to live up to the expectations. I strongly want [to play for] Inter and playing at San Siro every fortnight is one of the goals I have set for my career.
When Cagliari held Serie A leaders Inter to a 1-1 draw on January 10, Acquafresca netted a goal, doubtless making Mourinho take further note of his talents for finding the net.
