Dunga: Amauri’s Brazilian Dream Quashed By Juventus

Brazil and Italy will do battle in an international friendly match this Tuesday evening at the Emirates stadium in London.

It promises to be an enthralling battle between the two most successful nations, as they have won an incredible nine World Cups between them over time.

In the lead up to this clash, the Brazilian coach Dunga has recently discussed many issues concerning the fixture, including Amauri, a player who was denied the opportunity to play for his country by his club Juventus.

We knew that our claim was out of time, and unfortunately Juventus refused to grant the player, meaning that we must respect the law, Dunga declared in an interview, as reported by Datasport.it.

Amauri has to be submissive to the will of his own club, he added.

Being in the position he is however, I really feel sorry for him.

I looked at the great champions of the past and I dreamed of following in their footsteps.

If that was me, I would never have allowed anyone to break my wish, he continued.

Dunga had some final comments regarding the significance of the upcoming friendly, as well as how his players will approach the contest.

We will approach the game in a positive manner, which will hopefully give our players the best chance of expressing themselves in the best possible way.

Its not easy to do this for your country however, because there are only two days of training together, but we are hoping for the best, Dunga concluded.

The enticing friendly gets underway in London at 20:45 CET Tuesday evening.
