Fernando Torres has said today that he is prepared to play for Spain again and that every Spanish player wants to feature for the national team at the moment.
Torres has struggled with injury this year and Rafael Benitez has expressed his frustration at his call-up so soon after his tentative return to club duty.
However, 'El Nino' is raring to go under Vicente Del Bosque as they meet England in Seville this Wednesday evening.
"I am already prepared and available to play whenever Vicente wants me. When the national team comes, everyone wants to play, and more so now, after the European Championships win, because of the good form that we are in," he told AS.
Indeed, Spain have been hugely impressive in the last couple of years, as they have won the European Championships, and shot to the top of the both the European and world rankings.
Torres admits that he has not been in the best of form himself after the win in Austria and Switzerland, but is not worried about playing for Spain.
"It is clear that since the season began, up until January, I have not had the regularity I would have liked because of injury, that is what worries me at this time," he mused.
"Many of the players that played the European Championships are suffering this season, not just me, but there will not be any fear when we play with the national team."
Torres will no doubt be looking forward to taking on England this Wednesday and he praised the work of Fabio Capello, before admitting it will be a tough match.
"They arrive unbeaten, the same as us, and he [Capello] has a lot to do with that, his presence has changed things a lot and it will be a difficult game for both sides," he concluded.
