THE RITZ'S ROOTS ROCKIN' REGGAE SUCCESS

New York, NY October 2009 - Internationally acclaimed artists Mavado and Buju Banton rocked New Jersey to its core this past Sunday, attracting nearly 2,000 patrons to the landmark Ritz Theatre for an evening of roots rockin' Reggae and Dancehall at the theatre's inaugural Reggae staging, Reggae at the Ritz, presented by Road Block Radio, Race Entertainment, and CCB International.
Tri-State area patrons, as well as Reggae lovers from Pennsylvania,
Delaware, and Washington DC journeyed to Elizabeth, NJ on Sunday to witness the historic concert, marking the very first English-speaking Caribbean music concert to be staged at the former opera house. Special guest attendees include renowned Reggae crooner Maxi Priest and Tony Matterhorn.
