Since the war of words between Portmore Empire leader Vybz Kartel and Alliance prodigal son Mavado at the recently concluded Champions In Action held over the Heroes weekend at Jamworld in Portmore, St.Catherine. There has been a lot of controversy surrounding a song that was done by Mavado to counteract Kartel on the Self Riddim Riddim(Martial Arts).
In the track Mavado complained about Kartel being a homosexual, because his road manager and close friend Jeffrey Hype allegedly tattooed the deejays' name on his neck complimented with a cherry. This in the eyes of the Gully Gad is the epitome of homosexual behaviour.
Since 876radio.com broke the story and world premiered the exclusive track a plethora of rumours have flooded the streets and other internet sites that the claims by Mavado are true.
However to add some clarity to the situation 876radio.com decided to do some investigating into the matter. Earlier today we met with the man in question Jeffrey Hype and posed the question to him about what was been circulated in the media. In an exclusive interview Hype had this to say.
"Chuckle ..wah a dat dem a seh, nothing nuh go suh. First thing Mofraudo is a dunce him cannot read and write so you have to see with him. Mi an Mofraudo dem grow up a di same place right yahso ah Mannings Hills Road and Cassava Piece and mi kno fi ah fact seh him cyaah read and write. Look pon mi neck weh yuh see." A closer glance revealed the words "Hype" written and the right and "Donna" on the left with three little hearts and a flower.
According to Hype "Donna" is the name of his significant other "ah not even like seh any of di words dem start with "K" suh tell me how him get 'Kartel' from that yuh nuh see seh him really cyaah read and write".
Hype did admit that he does have a tattoo of the deejay's face on his right hand and says it was done to show his insurmountable respect for the deejay who is like a father to him. "ah him open mi eyes to a lot a things, and mek mi see nuff places weh mi neva tink me woulda eva dream fi reach and just the respect weh him show me, that's why mi put di tattoo deh". - He added.
"Him seh Bounty a fi him Don suh Kartel ah my own, me is not a singer, deejay or a dancer suh tell Mofraudo fi stop call up mi name. If is a 'Hype' him a look why him nuh go call up Foota Not-so-Hype name. Him a sing ting inna song bout mi and mi tell him seh mi want a rematch and all now mi cyaah see him".
In closing Hype said in the words of Kartel, "Life sweet and we want money fi spend a dat mi a pree. Mi nuh have no time a waste pon Mofraudo".
