Up to late yesterday afternoon, police and military personnel were still at Superintendent Harry Daley's house in Ebony Vale, St Catherine, where they reportedly seized two guns and several magazines.
The Gleaner visited the location and saw dozens of soldiers and two policemen thoroughly searching the building.
Daley was last in the news in June when he was involved in an altercation with a member of the Jamaica Defence Force during a police/military operation in Spanish Town.
It was reported that the soldier pointed his gun at Daley, who was then head of the St Catherine North Police Division.
The senior cop had claimed that he was not aware of the massive operation in the area under his command.
In the aftermath of that incident, Daley was transferred to the Detention and Courts Division in what many described as a 'slap down'.
