FIVE people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Shakilus Townsend, police have said.
Officers arrested one person around 9pm yesterday and the others this morning.
Shakilus, 16, was stabbed and beaten with a baseball bat in an attack in Thorton Heath, south London, on Thursday.
He died from his injuries the following day.
Two men aged 22 and 18, and two teenage boys aged 16 and 17, and a 16-year-old girl have been arrested in connection with his death.
All five are being questioned at south London police stations.
The news comes as it's been revealed that the 16-year-old was involved in gang culture.
Pictures have emerged on the internet of the youngster posing with both a KNIFE and a GUN.
On the networking site Bebo Shakila's friends have posted messages threatening to take revenge on the girl thought to have set him up to be killed, alongside chilling pictures of the younster brandishing the weapons.
One message said: "REMEMBER U SET UP SHAK YOU B***H. AND HE LOVED YOOOOH. YOU IZ F*****!"
Other messages describe him as a 'fallen soldier' indicating he was involved with south London gangs.
