Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain says the high wage demands of Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o is scaring off potential buyers.
Eto'o was deemed surplus to requirements by new Barca coach Pep Guardiola, but could still remain at the club as Begiristain says "there is no news" on a possible transfer.
The 27-year-old currently earns 160,000 Euros per week at the Nou Camp and is unlikely to settle for anything less.
"We are waiting for concrete offers from other clubs so that we can negotiate," Begiristain told the media.
"I understand that this is difficult because there are not many clubs in the world willing to pay these amounts."
