Sex Offender Accused Of Molesting 12-Year-Old

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A convicted sex offender was arrested again this week by detectives investigating the molestation of a 12-year-old girl.
John Bass, 67, is charged with lewd and lascivious molestation on a child under 16.
The arrest came after the girl told police that Bass rubbed her breasts with his hand on two different occasions.

According to the arrest report, Bass would pick the girl up from school and would talk about boys. One day he rubbed her chest outside her clothes, but apologized to her the next day. She said he did it again one day later.
She also told investigators that one time he kissed her on the lips.
The report did not disclose how Bass knew the girl's family.
Bass surrendered to police on Tuesday, but declined to answer any of their questions.
According to Duval County jail officials, Bass was released Wednesday after posting a $10,003 bond.
