A MAN and a woman were being quizzed last night after a missing mans body was found buried in a suitcase.


Richard Emery, 62, had not been seen since April. The case was unearthed next to a footpath on Saturday during a two-day search.


Cops probing the death had arrested a 34-year-old man and woman aged 46 on Friday.


After the grim find, detectives launched a murder inquiry and yesterday asked JPs for a 36-hour extension to quiz the two suspects in Bournemouth, Dorset.


Detective Chief Inspector Neil Redstone, leading the murder hunt, said: "We have yet to formally identify the body, but we have reliable information that it is the body of Mr Emery."


A post-mortem on the badly-decomposed body yesterday could not establish a cause of death, but found signs of assault.
