JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Before 7 p.m. Thursday, police attempted to serve an injunction to a man at a home in northwest Jacksonville. The man got upset and has barricaded himself inside a home with his 2-year-old child.

Police said the home is at the intersection of Brasque Drive and Poitier Driver. Hostage negotiators and SWAT team members have been called to assist.

We have been told the neighborhood in the surrounding area is on lockdown.

Police also say there was a restraining order against the man from seeing his child. The child's mother is waiting outside of the home with SWAT members.
