May 3, 2008 -- The suspected leader of a massive Central American cocaine trafficking ring has been busted after New York drug-enforcement agents cracked the case, federal prosecutors said yesterday.

Jorge Mario Paredes-Cordova, 42, a Guatemalan national who had been under indictment in New York since 2003, was arrested Thursday in Honduras and was brought before a Miami judge yesterday.
