FORT WORTH -- An Arlington woman whose false cry of rape led her husband to kill her lover is found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.
Tracy Roberson cried when the Tarrant County judge on the case, read the verdict just before 5:30, Friday afternoon.
"We have always believed in our indictment. I think the jury reached the right verdict," said prosecutor, Sean Colston.
Back in 2006, Tracy Roberson's husband, Darrell, arrived at the couple's home in Arlington. He saw his wife inside a truck with another man, Devin LaSalle.
According to the prosecution, Mr. Roberson fired his weapon after his wife cried rape.
Mrs. Roberson will spend the weekend in jail. The punishment phase in the case is scheduled for Monday morning. She faces probation to 20 years in prison.

What Happened:Two families were shattered by a night of passion and rage last week as a pair of fathers faced off in a south Arlington subdivision.

Now a father of three is out on bail and facing a murder charge. His wife might have to raise their children alone. And his wife's friend, also a father of three, is dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
Darrell Roberson, 38, turned himself in at the Collin County Jail on Sunday after a murder warrant was issued for him. He was charged with killing 32-year-old Devin LaSalle as he sat in his pickup outside the Robersons' home. Mr. Roberson has been released on $100,000 bail.

"The sad part, from all the indications, is nobody has talked about them being anything but upstanding people who have never been in trouble with the law," said Lt. Blake Miller, an Arlington police spokesman.
He said there could be more charges filed in the investigation. Detectives are still trying to clarify some of the timelines, positions of the participants during the shooting and an allegedly false claim of rape, Lt. Miller said.
Police documents, based on interviews with the Robersons and one of their daughters, tell a story of infidelity and terrible timing.

Mr. Roberson left his home on Ivy Glen Drive the night of Dec. 10 to play cards with friends in Dallas. His wife, Tracy Roberson, 35, and their three daughters stayed behind.
After her husband left, Mrs. Roberson sent Mr. LaSalle a text message: "Hi friend, come see me please! I need to feel your warm embrace. If ur unable too I completely understand!!!"
Mr. LaSalle drove to her home in his Chevrolet Silverado pickup. When he knocked on the door, Mrs. Roberson answered wearing only underwear and a robe.

The couple went to Mr. LaSalle's truck, parked in front of the house.
While they were in the car, Mr. Roberson called home repeatedly but got no answer. Police determined that he called his wife 19 times between 1:33 and 2:12 a.m. Finally, his 7-year-old daughter answered.
The girl searched the home but couldn't find Mrs. Roberson. She told her father that she had heard a knock on the door earlier and thought her mother was still outside.

Mr. Roberson drove home to Arlington and shined his high beams on the Silverado. Police said he saw Mr. LaSalle kissing Mrs. Roberson's chest as the couple sat in the truck.
Mr. Roberson approached with a handgun and yelled at his wife to "get your [expletive] out of the car." Mr. LaSalle tried to speed away he hit the accelerator hard enough to leave tire marks on the pavement and Mr. Roberson fired four shots into the truck, police said.

One bullet hit Mr. LaSalle in the head. He was pronounced dead at 2:40 a.m. in front of the Robersons' house. Mrs. Roberson tried to tell her husband that she was being raped, but he didn't believe her story, according to a recording of the 911 call that police have not released.
Lt. Miller said it's not clear whether any of the shots were intended for Mrs. Roberson. She told detectives that her husband was shooting at the truck "to hurt whomever."
"This case is far from finished," Lt. Miller said.

Update- Charges against the husband were dropped after the grand jury refused to indict him. He has no charges pending against him at this time.
