JACKSONVILLE, FL -- A teacher who resigned over a controversial video posted on YouTube denies making fun of a student.
Timothy Huber resigned from Mandarin High School yesterday.
The mother of a student in his class complained to the school board after seeing the video on YouTube. She claimed Huber made fun of her 15 year old son.
Huber talked to First Coast News by phone Wednesday morning.
"I would never, never mock one of my students," he said.
"It's a difficult time," he added. Huber said he couldn't say anything more on advice of legal counsel.
District investigators are still in the process of reviewing the classroom incident.
The video has been removed from YouTube.
The story has generated a flurry of comments in our Topix Talkback section.
hmm... if she neva do it, then why she resign? she should fight it. If mi nuh do something, the school cant force me to resign, they would have to fire me, then i can take them to court for wrongful dismissal, but her resigning seems like guilty
