Mek me tell yu dis, DAngels party was hype but a bit boring but Asylum was amped to the extreme, big up all mi new money friends. But one skettel go spoil the vibes, me and this batter ears gal kick off because she ah drop word bout mi babyfather and mi did almost lick her inna her face wid mi HQ bottle, but yu nuh waan hear about that, New York, right? The décor of DAngels party at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel was sophisticated to the tenth power. First, even before you went upstairs, you were greeted with white balloons, yard of white shimmer and gold glitter, very cute. And you could see that she had shelled out some major bucks on the décor inside. I really loved the glass table, very sophisticated, and she was placed on a stool close to a long runway in the middle of the floor space. SOME PICS ADDED, CLICK HERE

How DAngel so hype though? She had her dress from last year hung up as part of the backdrop to the runway, and her shoes that she wore last year were also placed on a pedestal. Real hype ting.

Big up the black dress crew which was the safe choice on this night, people like Stacious, Macka Diamond, Sophia Brown and Lena British. Junie Platinum had on a nice dress as well. The man dem did ah go hard still, mi nah lie, dem suit tek the place, at one point, is like dem outshine the woman dem. Nico Bam Bam, Christopher Martin and Delly Ranx did ah go hard.

Not much happened as people seemed content to just stand and lyme. Singing Melody sang to her but not many people delivered toasts to the birthday girl. The party lacked panache and what the French call, the va va voom factor in terms of surprises or excitement.

ANGEL'S SISTERS LOVED THE KILLER TUNE
The selector was a bit lame, in fact he was so lame, we never bothered to get his name for this article, and he played a lot of Beenie Mans girl songs all throughout the night. Interestingly, one of the biggest reactions of an otherwise eventless night, was when the selector played Killers Nutten No Change (remember she was dancing to this song last year while with Beenie Man) and DAngels sisters seemed particularly delighted by this song and they danced and carried on.

It was clear that a lot of the females there either had not read the invitation, or, understandably, did not have the money to dress up; it all made for a confused dress code. They wore some normal dresses, but they paled in comparison to the hottest girls in the party. The top five were: Jody, Ms. P the businesswoman from Ocho Rios, Tameka Reynolds from Free People Entertainment (inna one hot brown dress that look like it cost at least $75,000), the birthday girl herself, DAngel, in a cream-and-brown delight of a dress with a teasing split that showcased her long flawless legs.

HOTTEST GIRL OF THE NIGHT
But the nights honours go to Nigel Storm babymother in particular. She did ah go hard, in fact, people said that ah she tek the party inna one dress so divine mi caan even describe it. Lena British looked good but she never did ah go hard inna one simple black dress.

Celebrities like Tony Matterhorn, Ding Dong who performed, Barkey, Voice Mail, and Craigy Dread. A list celebrity Vybz Kartel was also in the house but never performed. Corey Todd, of Vybz Rum Distillers, the distributors of Vybz Rum and Pimp Juice, was in a fresh yellow crush linen jacket that screamed new money. Big up Odessa, big up the ZIP and IRIE family. The Sherlock crew was hot, and Cowboy who own the go-go club off Hagley Park road was also in the house.

The party was really nice and we must big up Michelle Downer but a lot of people grumbled and complained under their breath that they had to buy their own drinks, however, food was provided. I will definitely be going back next year.
