Reggae singing sensation Gyptian is serving up his new single, I Can Feel Your Pain, to the charts, and with the recent debut of the steamy video, Gyptian's fans are now coming out to support his latest studio effort.
The video recently debuted on a viewer's choice show on one of Jamaica's premiere entertainment channels, RE-TV. Already in regular rotation throughout Jamaica, I Can Feel Your Pain blasted onto RE-TV's MVP Top 10 Video Countdown, coming in at a solid #4 this week.
What makes this mention extra special is that this particular countdown depends solely on viewers' votes to determine chart position. Not only does Gyptian enter the MVP Top 10 lineup at this peak position, he's also cruising in at the very top of the latest videos that are also making the countdown for the first time.
"I Can Feel Your Pain" is already a crowd pleaser, especially with female fans. A poignant ballad sung in his unique buttery falsetto, this is the first single from Gyptian's much-anticipated follow-up to his debut album, My Name is Gyptian (VP Records, 2006), due out later this year. The video was shot on location in New York City and directed by Rhona Fox.
Gyptian is currently busy touring and bringing his old and new hits to life for international fans, including his chart-topping conscious anthem Serious Times, and the captivating lover's tune, Beautiful Lady. Recently performing in Connecticut and Philadelphia, he is now preparing for some high profile shows in the Caribbean, including Barbados and back home in Jamaica, in the upcoming weeks.
