Vybz Kartel said he is working on his new double CD album, which will be exclusively produced by Stephen "Di Genius" McGregor, the album will be a collaborative effort between Kartel's own label Adijaheim Records and Big Ship.
When asked about the concept behind the double disc he told 876radio.com that one disc will feature some of his most prominent dancehall anthems such as 'Empire Army' and 'Nuh Bodda Try', amongst others. While the other will contain all exclusive tracks (never heard before) the disc will take on a storytelling format, similar to the Notorious B.I.G. classic 'Ready To Die'.
According to the Emperor, he has the utmost respect for Don Corleone who is arguable the best dancehall producer in the world, but Stephen McGregor is a very close second and edging closer with experience, which is why he's allowing the youngster complete production authority over the entire project. When asked about the album's name and date he was hesitant to answer but chuckled and said,
"Me a called it 'Time to Teach' and it a drop January 2008, new year, new leaf, new lyrics, new album.. a suh we a dweet everything brand new".
He said the album will be independently distributed throughout Jamaica and the Caribbean, but hinted the worldwide distribution may be handled by Greensleeves. In closing he added fans can look out for a revolution in Dancehall as he is coming to change the game again. Indeed this is revolutionary has the only other artiste in recent times to have drop a double disc was the Warlord himself Bounty Killer with his 'Ghetto Dictionary: The Art Of War'
