One song might be the spark that could lead to the official reunion of the Scare Dem Crew, one of dancehall's hottest groups of the 1990s.

Some members have already said that they have been bombarded with requests from fans who have heard a recent single entitled Gully An Di Garrison which was recorded by Boomdandimite, Nittie Kutchie and Harry Toddler.

"From wi do da song yah, is like people nuh stop call wi an a ask if Scare Dem nah come back together," Kutchie said in an interview with THE WEEKEND STAR.

But are the former members of the Scare Dem Crew ready to take on such a mammoth task? Some say yes, others are uncertain.

"Wi ready fi it," said Boom-dandimite.

"Di people dem like dah current deh. Scare Dem was a big ting, cause mi guh all America fi two years an mi a tell somebody sey me name Boomdandimite an dem a sey 'Who dat again', an mi sey 'From Scare Dem' an dem a sey 'Oh yeah'," he recalled.

Well received

Boomdandimite also said that the single they recorded recently was also well received and that was encouraging.

"Wi do a tune weh name Gully An Di Garrison dat a wid me, Toddler an Kutchie. A da song deh wi a premier yah now. Last night (Wednesday) G-Fuss play it a Stone Love an people a compliment it an a seh dem like di riddim an everything," he said.

Well, so far, all with the exception of Elephant Man appears to be interested in a full out Scare Dem reunion.

"Mi an every man a fren, but mi nuh really deh pon di Scare Dem reunion, but if mi fi represent pon one a di song dem, mi wi do dat, but if Scare Dem fi guh back it a guh look like a joke ting, cause every man did have dem solo career going," Ele said.

Adding, "Dem time deh wi did young, but fi four big man start run up an down again, talk bout dem a crew, dat would a look a way. Me an Kutchie an di man dem a brethren suh fi put song pon record an write hit song together an dem ting deh, mi wi do dat, cause mi cyan figget weh mi a come from."

Well, members like Boomdandimite and Nitty Kutchie say they can appreciate why Ele might not be interested in a Scare Dem reunion.

"Elephant reach di peak yah now, suh di one ting him coulda do a sing two song wid Scare Dem. Him done build a strength as Elephant Man an wi nah tek dat from him, suh wi jus hope sey him sey him wi get involved to an mek him fren dem eat a food to," Boomdandimite said.

"Even though Scare Dem split 'bout seven years now, wi always link as brethren an hold a vibe an party same way," added Nitty Kutchie.

This might be contrary to what persons believe, as it was reported that the Scare Dem Crew had split because of a disagreement over money.

But as Kutchie explained, " Di original split was due to hype an misunderstanding an certain things did blow out a control. Wi a yout dem time deh an hype get ova wi."

However, Kutchie says he is not ruling out any possibilities.
