OK ppl keep running their mouths about me not posting or saying anything in here.... Since you all are so pre-occupied with what I don't do,,I hope you are just as pre-occupied with what I am about to write. Now i am a Jamaican, from a middle class family,currently studying in Canada. I have seen most of what Jamaica has to offer and so has the world. As much as I love Jamaica, there so too much slackness going on in the dancehall-especially with women. We all know this, we all are apart of it, we all encourage it, we sell it to other countries and based on how we present ourselves, thats how we are viewed. Case in point the whole Daggering shit. I support the banning of it. wHY? bECAUSE we Jamaicans are taking enjoyment and music too far. Although we may say this is not new, afterall it was no different from what was being done in Passa Passa etc. we must admit that we are it to the extreme. Half of the shit that is being done in dancehall scene should only be done at home. YOu know what though, I am not even going to blame the men. I am not even going to blame poverty. Poverty is no excuse for self-humiliation. Poverty is no excuse for lack of self respect. I am specifially talking about the women. If women were not on the floor spreading out their legs and letting guys skydive between them, men wouldn't have anything to blanket the fall. For all i know it would be some dumb ass man who would skydive on the ground-without a woman underneath him. Why is it ladies that we feel the need to enjoy ourselves with a man( most of them we dont even know) bending us over and ramming us from behind? Why is it that today we dont feel the need to have any respect for ourselves in public? How can you find satisfaction in knowing that you are over 18 0r a mother at a dance yet you have a 7 or 9 year old boy wrapped around your waist grinding on you? I think ladies need to clean their act up...men only do what they do because you allow yourselves to be tried like a cheap piece of meat. You know the sad part about it? the meat is spoil and will be discarded at the end of the night. You think decent men are going to marry women who behave like that? Women should not be complaining about finding a decent man. If i was a man-decent at that ,you think I'd want to be with a woman who is not on my level. Its not even about money, because sometimes you have the poorest of women who are with the richest of men and its all because men respect what you stand for. I understand that at home, upton and downtown is obvious and people find different ways to enjoy themselves. I get it, but its the same music, its the same vybe, but we need to equally be respectful of our bodies and mind. I really dont care who is pissed at this comment. The truth hurts and the truth is that nobody sees Jamaican women as educated and decent-unless maybe you're from the uptown. People see jamaican women as pure sexual objects, who suppose to grind sweet and whine good.The anger from females towards daggering being banned only proves that yes apparently jamaican women can only enjoy themselves if they're being rammed like some animals. women we need to Clean our act up......dont blame men...because if you respect yourself ...they will respect you..

oh zeen..thing is im not gonna eb a hypocrite and say that i dont listen to some of these songs..i do..i like kartel lyrics alot,,not so much because of the content, but how he puts it together in a way that;s genius..but like i dont think we need to go about in public and behave like that..of course enjoy urself but moderation is key..self respect is key and like thats my point..u agree or not?

Capricorn I applaud you for this post and I do agree with you. It's has gone to the extreme. I've watched tons of passa passa , dutty fridaze etc tapes and it promotes nuff slackness. Sometimes I wonder how they could allow males to treat them so. Last weekend I watched passa passa tapes from Jamaica, Trinidad and Antigua all of which were very degrading.

hey girl..wats up..long time no link..thanks for the comment..is real talk still..the only way men goign to treat women like that is if women allow themselves to be treated like that..i see one or two of the videos and its so sad..cause in the crowd you see white /tourist watching us like we are some spectacle..I mean if this is why we do these things ..just to put on a show..we are more backward than we care to believe....this is not entertainment..its pure nastiness..when did jamaica become this way? and how?

thts so true.. i love the dancehall tunes..but i hate the dashing out of holes..so dem call it yeah...man a jump in all 5 dif man a chuck off inna her center and bare tingz..and part about people consider jamaacan women as SEX OBJECT is so true..u talking to someone online..first thing dem ask if u ccan f**k good and what dem hear bout jamaicaan women

Most of the tourist love it. I saw a japanese and a white girl at one of the dutty fridaze on a video. One of em had a busted knee and she have man a dagger her left and right, sky dive on her etc and the japanese chick was in that position as well. I saw a Japanese passa passa the other day and you would think you was in JA.
