The Daily Mail claims that Guus Hiddink, the new Chelsea manager, will seek advice from Luiz Felipe Scolari regarding the dressing-room uncertainty at Stamford Bridge.

Scolari was fired by the Blues earlier this week after Saturday's goalless draw with Hull City saw them slip to fourth in the Premier League standings, seven points behind leaders Manchester United.

It has since come to light that several Pensioners players complained to Roman Abramovich, the club's owner, about the Brazilian trainer's methods and tactics.

Petr Cech, Didier Drogba and Michael Ballack have been labelled as the key figures among this mutinous crew, although the latter has denied any involvement in Scolari's sacking.

Nevertheless, it seems that Hiddink will take the unusual measure of contacting Scolari to single out those at the heart of Chelsea's in-house problems.

The Dutchman, who will continue as coach of the Russian national team during stint in the Premier League, is due to meet with his new charges tomorrow.
