KAKA will move to Manchester City only if he is given a series of get-out clauses as part of a world-record £175million deal.
Despite the Brazilian star claiming yesterday that he wants to grow old at AC Milan, the mega-money swoop to take him to Eastlands is still very much alive.
DEMANDS ... Kaka wants to ensure City succeed
His father and main agent Bosco is flying in from Brazil to Italy to enter into the negotiations, with Milan ready to take the money on offer from City.
But first Kaka, 26, wants written guarantees in his contract that during his time at City:
Sheikh Mansour remains the owner of the club and continues his substantial investment. City qualify for the Champions League within two years. Robinho is not sold. His representatives remain in sole ownership of his image rights. If any of these terms are broken or not met in his time at the club then a clause will be triggered, allowing him to be moved for a predetermined transfer fee, reducing with each year. Kaka himself is not convinced Milan definitely want to keep him with a £100m transfer fee on the table, so he will listen to City if there is any indication the Italians are willing to sell. The £75m on offer for himself in wages over five years is not the major point for the player. He wants to play in the Premier League but for a club in the Champions League, not one currently looking over its shoulder at the relegation zone. That is why he wants a get-out clause if City fail to qualify for Europes premier club competition. Likewise, he wants to see all the promises of building a world-beating team kept and is adamant that compatriot Robinho stays by his side throughout. One of Kakas personal assistants, Diogo Kotscho, yesterday admitted that the move isnt impossible. Kotscho added: If Manchester City come to an agreement with Milan we will talk to them but it is not just about money. They have to show us that this is a project that we will be interested in. Yesterday, Kaka said the right things as far as the Milan fans were concerned. Kaka said: I want to grow old at Milan. I have already turned down some important offers. My objective for the future is to become captain of this team. There is a hierarchy here and Paolo Maldini and Massimo Ambrosini are first but after them.
