Did The Police Murder Carlton?
On Saturday, August 22nd veteran dancehall deejay Spragga (Carlon Grant Sr.) Benz son, Carlton Grant Jr. was killed by the police in the vicinity of downtown Kingston as he and a friend was returning from a party. Several alleged eyewitnesses and onlookers gave their accounts and said that the youngster was murdered in cold *lo**, as he was unarmed and was never a threat to the lawmen at any point throughout the encounter.
However the official report from the Constabulary Communication Network(CCN) said that that about 11:50 p.m, members of a police party were on patrol along Church Street in downtown, Kingston. When two men were seen on a bicycle acting suspiciously. The lawmen signaled them to stop and the young men complied. Upon approach of the police one of the men pulled a hand gun and fired at them before running. The officers took cover and returned fire and minutes later a search of the area revealed Grant suffering from gunshot wounds, the other man escaped. A .45 semi-Automatic pistol with several rounds bearing the serial number N338142 was taken from his body. The injured Grant was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Now there are three sides to every story, the police, the onlookers and the TRUTH, but who better to tell it than someone who went through the ordeal themself. We have just grab wind of some recently surfaced video footage featuring an interview with the young man who claims to be the companion of young Carlton on that faithful night when they were accosted by the lawmen.
Now without further ado we give you the footage and you decide base on the police story and that of an actual witness. Was Carlton killed in cold *lo** by a set of trigger happy cops?, Was he a criminal as the official report alleged? or is the young man is the video a liar? (see video below)
