Cash Plus events in chronological order
2002: Cash Plus Ltd opens up in Jamaica with Carlos Hill at the helm.
May 2007: Cash Plus CEO bought the Hilton Kingston Hotel.
July 2007: Purchased Drax Hall Estates, St Ann.
September 2007: Became major supporters of the National Premier League football.
The Financial Services Commission (FSC) issued cease-and-desist orders on Cash Plus and its leaders.
February 2008: Plans announced for Cash Plus to begin payments of monthly returns again by March 31; indicating that this was contingent on approval by the Financial Services Commission.
March 2008: Cash Plus announces inability to resume payments on March 31, giving an April 14 payment date; and the Court appoints a receiver/manager.
April 9: Court-appointed receiver/manager announces that Cash Plus is broke.
April 10: Carlos Hill and brother arrested.
Public notice
The police are requesting that persons who may have been defrauded by Cash Plus; fill out a form that is available at twww.mns.org.jm.
Upon completion the form must be mailed to: The Jamaica Constabulary Force at P.O. Box 462, Kingston.
