A clause in Google's Terms of Service actually means that no one under 18 is allowed to use Google or any of its services (search, GMail, YouTube). "You may not use ... Google's products, software, services and web sites ... and may not accept the Terms if ... you are not of legal age to form a binding contract with Google." Thing is, all of the 50 states require a person to be at least 18 to form a binding contract. Therefore, if you're under 18, get off that Google. You're breaking the law! A Google spokesperson responded, saying: "We're not in a position to verify the age or legal status of any user, given the tremendous number of users accessing Google services. That said, when we become aware of a user who is violating our Terms of Service, including not being of proper age to accept the Terms of Service, we take appropriate action, which could include the termination of the user's Google Account." Hopefully, this will lead to less YouTube spam. The less video blogs of 14 year olds who thinks they're the best thing in the world... the better off we are as a society. Of course, there's little chance this will actually be enforced and is most likely there for legal reasons to protect Google from certain things.
