Deejay Vybz Kartel aka Addi the Teacha donated a computer and a printer to the Queens High school last week. The equipment which included a Dell computer with a flat screen monitor, was handed over during the schools monthly staff meeting.
The deejay, whose Money Fi Spend hit is #10 on the Jamaica Music Count down charts, promised the teaching staff that he would be making future contributions to the school.
All high schools must be computer literate in Jamaica, and to this end, you can expect one more soon.
The audience applauded.
We will be donating computers to assist number of institutions all across the island to be computer literate on behalf of Vybz Rum. We will be hosting a couple of entertainment-related events towards establishing a fund to make this possiblewe will be doing this all across Jamaica, he said.
Mrs. Carole Jackson, principal of the Queens High school, thanked the deejay for the gift. The deejay, whose real name is Adidjah Palmer, has established his own education driven organization called the Adidjah Palmer Education Foundation.
