Dillon County (WBTW) WBTW-TV is reporting that a 17-year-old was arrested Monday by Dillon police after they say he gave two children, ages four and five, the sexually transmitted disease gonorrhea.
Officers arrested 17-year-old Kayle Alford and charged him with criminal sexual conduct with minors younger than 11, according to scnow.com, WBTW-TVs website.
Investigators say Alford is responsible for giving the young children the STD.
Dillon police say they received help from the Department of Social Services, according to the website.
Now that recent Jessies Law legislation is in effect, Alford faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted on the charges, because of the victims young ages.
Alfords bond hearing has not yet been set.
Dillon Police also arrested 41-year-old Tabitha Scarborough, according to WBTW-TV.
Police charged her with harboring a fugitive, because investigators say she allowed Alford to stay in her home.
Scarboroughs bond hearing is expected sometime Tuesday afternoon.
