Female students appear in court on stabbing charge

Two female students from Alston High in Clarendon are to appear in the Mandeville Juvenile Court on March 20, arising out of a stabbing incident at that institution on Wednesday, February 27.
The two were arrested and charged by the Spaldings police after they used a knife to stab another female student during a fight over a man. The injured female received stab wounds in her head.
The injured girl, who is 16 years old, was rushed to the Percy Junor Hospital in Manchester where she received 16 stitches for the wound.
The two accused, one aged 16 and the other 17, were taken to the Spaldings Police Station where they were both charged with wounding with intent.
