Gunmen yesterday morning opened fire on a taxi in Clarendon killing one woman and injuring the driver and a female passenger as they were travelling towards May Pen.
Dead is 44-year-old Jocelyn Thomas of Palmetto Pen, in Clarendon. Police reports are that shortly after six o clock yesterday, the three persons were on board a taxi which operates from Longsville Park to May Pen when a man signalled the driver to stop the car. The driver, however, refused and was fired on by the man and another person who came from the bushes. All three persons were hit. They were taken to the May Pen Hospital where Thomas was pronounced dead while the driver and the other passenger were admitted in serious condition.
