Dear Dr. Flex, I am in love with a wonderful Christian man who has a lot of close relationships with other women. I have always been careful not to develop close relationships with members of the opposite sex, but he doesnt seem to care. Is it okay to have close friends of the opposite sex if you are in a serious relationship? Could it cause problems down the road? ? C.R., St. Catherine
Dear C.R., I dont exactly know what a serious relationship is and what youre talking about, but certainly the idea of having friends of the opposite sex is perfectly all right. Men and women work together, and the relationship doesnt have to be sexual. It could be really friendship. There is nothing with friendship. But friendship, if it gets too close, can deepen into something else, and thats just the way we are. Nothing
