Police make huge ammunition find at Bamboo Ridge dance

Thursday, 03 January 2008 A large quantity of ammunition was found early Thursday morning by the police at a dance in Bamboo Ridge near Barton, St. Catherine.
It is reported that about four o'clock Thursday morning while the dance was in progress, a team of police raided the event.
A search of the premises yielded over 80 rounds of M16 ammunition.
No one was arrested.
The Catherine South Police Division has been keeping a close watch on the community since last month's killing of a senior citizen.
Sixty-four year old farmer Benjamin Graham, also called Benjie, was killed by gunmen on the evening of December 14.
