Munga was not the aggressor" - road manager
16-Dec-07 |
Road manager/mixer 'Socco', a key member of Mungas entourage, has blamed Deva Bratt for initiating the nasty turn of events that led to the brawl which marred the Stone Love anniversary dance at Mas Camp on Saturday night.
Deva jump up on the stare from backstage, about five or six of man come wid him, and mi see Deva push off one of Mungas friends offstage. Then Deva push Munga, Munga lick him wid the mike and everybody start throw blow, security run in but dem coulden control it, it was just a bit fracas fi almost a full minute, even the yute friend who did get push off inna the crowd run come defend it, Socco told One876Entertainment.com.
Billy Slaughter eventually pushed Deva and him friend dem offstage because is like Deva never waan done wid the violence, the security coulden get a hand pon the situation, and that ah the last thing people go dance fi see. People always see Munga as the aggressor but this time, him never have a choice, him feel threatened so him react physically, me hope the media portray fi him side, he said.
Asked if he felt there could be future hostilities between the two deejays:
"After the fracas, everybody go dem own way. If dem waan war and done, thats fine because no man in the camp nah pree dem, is just a ting weh happen and we get over it, we were not the aggressors, he said.
Both deejays have recorded diss tracks on Piranha's latest riddim, 'Night Creature'. Deva Brats track speaks to Munga walking with 'him stiff tongue tucked out' and intimates that Munga has a vacuum action going with his mouth in a song called Dem Say We Call Dem Name Fi Buss.

I agree thats why i said deva did start it by pushing the guy off. But i dont think he hit munga first according to what the guy reported. Then again, I wasnt there and the video kinda cut off piece of it, so deva may have hit munga first. Poor soul
