Well this question is for the guys, but im still going to put in my lil two cents, which is i cannot respect a woman who do such a thing, even if the guy is a total ass***le from hell he deserves to know that he has a child and every child needs to know their father.

but if he's from hell, he might do more harm than good. But seriously, not all men deserve or are fit to be fathers. In some cases the father is better left unknown,so I would have to disagree with you there booty.Fathers are important no doubt, but what kind of character is he showing to get up an leave and not give a damn about the innocent child .I think one would be in the wrong for trying to force responsibility of being a father on someone.(not saying they shouldnt pay support, being a father is more than that).some children shouldnt know their fathers, because they are the ones that cause the child heart ache an give them false hope and make false promises because they feel forced to be there which ends up having a negative effect on a child.

k Sexy i totally get what ur saying, and maybe i should have been more clearer in what i was saying, but what i was trying to say is that the child deserves to know the father, whether or not he is in the child's life is a completely different story, because as you said not all men are fit to be fathers, but i think when the child is of age to know right from wrong and so on they should know their father and decide if they want him in his/her life, because sooner or later they will want to know, and even going back to the question tell the best friend that his buddy is the father and not him even if he is the better guy, instead of lieing to both the child and the other guy because lies never end well.

yea you do have a point. The lieing saga is never the way to go.It would really depend on the case of child neglect to really make a hard decision like taking away fatherly priviledeges.theres no hard an fast rule.
