We always knew strip clubs could be dangerous to the hardworking women who populate them -- "pole burn," herniated disks and "stripper's knee" are just a few of the hazards faced by exotic dancers. But it turns out that the dens of sin can be just as dangerous for the men who visit them, as evidenced by a man who is suing an an Akron, Ohio club for 25,000 dollars after he was hit in the face by a dancer's shoe.Yusuf Evans alleges the "hazardous" high kick that resulted in his injury occurred on his very first visit to Club XTC. The 37-year-old needed surgery to his nose after being whacked by a dancer named "Tiara" who was wearing "1970s-style platform heels."
"My nose got chipped on one side and I constantly lose the ability to breathe out of one nostril," says Evans. "I have to live with this for the rest of my life probably."
This isn't the first time a strip club customer has been injured by a dancers' proclivities for extremely large and pointy shoes -- last October, 35-year-old Charles Privette sued a Florida club called "The Booby Trap" after a performer's shoe flew off during a pole dance, shattered the mirrored ceiling and caused glass and the shoe to hit him. Evans' lawsuit claims Club XTC allowed its dancers to wear "improper attire," which we actually always thought was the point of strip clubs.
