Lets be honest here - some of us watch adult videos, whether for sexual purposes or just for laughs. But is making an adult spoof of a well-loved classic family television show taking things a little too far?
X-Play and Hustler Video did a full-length freaky satire of The Cosby Show entitled Not the Cosby Show XXX. The main character, Thomas Ward, stars as a scarily-believable Cliff F*&$stable, and a myriad of black porn stars play the role of Claire and the Huxtable gang. Watch the trailer below - its safe for work, we promise! No nudity or anything. While the actors arent that believable (what porn stars are?), Ward does a pretty impressive Bill Cosby impression. At least hell have something to fall back on when his claim to fame stops working!
WASHINGTON (AFP) A chemical found in green tea helps inhibit sexual transmission of the virus which causes AIDS, said a study Tuesday that recommends using the compound in vaginal creams to supplement antiretrovirals.
Medical experts at Germany's University of Heidelberg said the compound could be a low-cost arrow in the quiver of medical weapons to fight the spread of HIV in research-poor countries.
The researchers said they determined that the green tea polyphenol, or vegetable tannin, called epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is capable of neutralizing a protein in sperm which serves as a vector for viral transmission during sex.
EGCG degrades what is known as a semen-derived enhancer of virus infection, or SEVI, described in the study as "an important infectivity factor of HIV."
Six Canadian tourists experienced the shock of their lives yesterday afternoon when they got caught in a shooting incident while in a line of traffic on the Spanish Town main road in Kingston.
According to police investigations, the shooting occurred in an area located close to the Coronation Market.
A 32-year-old male occupant of the vehicle was injured as a result of shattered glass during the incident, however the others were unharmed.
According to the police, the six tourists travelled from Kingston to Montego Bay, St James, in a grey Mitsubishi Grandis. They were travelling along the Spanish Town Road when they heard three shots. The right rear window was shattered and there was damage to the front windscreen. The group then went to the Kingston Public Hospital.
The tourists were visited by the police and members of the Jamaica Tourist Board and Ministry of Tourism. They also received support from the Office of the Prime Minister.
The police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the Denham Town Police Station, CIB office, Detective Inspector Coleman at 923-6443, Crime Stoppers at 311 or Kingfish at 811.
50-Y-O FORCED TO DRINK ACID - Woman dies after also being attacked with pot | |||
The cops now have in custody a Tivoli man who they allege forced a woman to drink acid and beat her in the head with a Dutch pot. Rhona Graham, 50, who was also a Tivoli resident, died in hospital a week after being admitted in critical condition. Information reaching THE WEEKEND STAR is that about three weeks ago, Graham was involved in an argument with her neighbours. The accused man, a respected and long-time thug from the community was called to quell the matter. Before he could do so, however, he and Graham got into a tussle and he was said to have been assaulted by the enraged woman.
caustic soda This was not taken lightly and allegations are that Graham's life took a deadly turn within the next few minutes as the contents of a bottle of caustic soda was thrown down her throat. But all was not over, Graham was then struck in the head repeatedly with a pot. She was later rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital. The man implicated in the incident then fled the community but was held reportedly with an illegal firearm by police in Manchester on Wednesday. His identification is being withheld, however, as he is not yet charged. Head of the Kingston West Division, Superintendent Hugh Bish, told THE WEEKEND STAR the man is to be handed over to them after which investigations into Graham's death will continue. However, Superintendent Bish said there may be some difficulty in their investigation. "You know those communities operate with a code of silence so nobody wants to speak ... . As a result, we will have to try to gain more forensic evidence ... . We can go for him anytime now but we are not yet sure if he will even be charged," Superintendent Bish said. As such, the police are urging residents to come forward with any information they may have to assist with the investigations. Relatives of the deceased woman declined to comment. However, some residents expressed disgust at the actions that claimed the woman's life. "Is a wicked act, me a tell yu ... . Di whole a di woman inside bun out ... har head did soft like porridge. Nobody couldn't even go look pon har a di hospital or dem woulda vomit," one resident said.

A newborn boy was taken from a pit latrine at a church at St D'Acre district, Alexandria, St Ann, on Wednesday. The mother of the infant is being sought by the police.
The CCN reports that about 4 p.m., a member of the church became suspicious after seeing a woman leaving the church's latrine. Shortly afterwards, he received a telephone call that the woman may have given birth in the latrine.
He and other persons went to investigate. They searched the latrine where they found the infant in a cement bag inside the pit. He was taken to the Alexandria Hospital where he was medically examined. A report was subsequently made to the police.
The Alexandria police who are investigating are appealing to the mother or anyone knowing her whereabouts to contact them at 975-1016.
ONESBORO, Ga. A Georgia man was sentenced to 100 years in prison for poisoning his two children to extort money from Campbell Soup Co.
William Cunningham was sentenced Thursday after a jury found him guilty of five counts of cruelty to children and two counts of aggravated assault, said Kellie Perry, a clerk at the Clayton County Superior Court.
The girl and boy, then 18 months old and 3 years old, were hospitalized after Cunningham fed them soup tainted with prescription drugs and lighter fluid.
On one occasion, authorities said he used the prescription drugs Prozac and Amitriptyline both used to treat depression to poison the children.
Cunningham was arrested in March 2006. According to prosecutors, the former dump truck driver called Campbell in January 2006 and threatened to sue the company because its soup was contaminated. He pleaded guilty in 2007 to a federal charge of making false claims against the company.
Authorities said there was no evidence the soup was tainted when it was purchased. A family member said the children may suffer lifelong respiratory problems after swallowing the poisoned soup.
The children's mother, Rhonda Cunningham, filed for divorce during the case.
(This version CORRECTS that Cunningham was found guilty of five counts of cruelty to children and two counts of aggravated assault.)
Jonathan Lee Riches, who is currently incarcerated in the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, is thought to have filed over 4,000 lawsuits around the world against various people, entities, objects and concepts.
In a boldly ironic move, he has now filed a lawsuit against the Guinness Book of World Records, hoping to get an injunction against them naming him as the world's most litigious man in their 2010 edition. 'The Guinness Book of World Records have no right to publish my work, my legal masterpieces,' he says in the legal filing, according to The Spokesman-Review.
He is also unhappy about the nicknames they apparently plan to ascribe to him, including 'Sue-per-man', 'the duke of lawsuits' and 'Johnny Sue-nami'.
Previous targets of his legal ire have included George W. Bush, Che Guevara, Perez Hilton, the Eiffel Tower, Britney Spears, Adolf Hitler's Nazi party, Google, the Roman Empire, The Queen, the Magna Carta, the Wu-Tang Clan, Plato, Emilio Estevez and Nordic Gods.
Riches has been banned from filing suits in many jurisdictions. His latest legal foray was filed in the court of Judge Justin Quackenbush, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. Judge Quackenbush dismissed Riches' previous suit, against the Peanut Corp. of America, in February, warning him that he may be banned from filing in that court too.
Riches is currently serving time for wire fraud, but could be released by 2012.
A Latino street gang waged a racist campaign to eliminate black people from a Southern California city through attempted murders and other crimes, according to federal racketeering indictments unsealed Thursday.
Five indictments charged a total of 147 members and associates of the Varrio Hawaiian Gardens gang, and federal and local agencies arrested 63 of them by early Thursday, U.S. Attorney Thomas P. OBrien said at a news conference.
He called it the largest gang takedown in United States history but did not elaborate.
The indictments detail attempted murder, kidnapping, firearms, narcotics and other charges related to attacks by the gang, which is predominantly Latino and mainly operates in Hawaiian Gardens, a city of about 15,000 in southeastern Los Angeles County.
(Varrio Hawaiian Gardens) gang members take pride in their racism and often refer to the VHG Gang as the `Hate Gang, the main indictment states. VHG gang members have expressed a desire to rid the city of Hawaiian Gardens of all African-Americans and have engaged in a systematic effort to achieve that result by perpetrating crimes against African-Americans.
The indictment alleges a string of attacks on black residents, including a shooting into a home with eight people inside. The indictment does not say if anyone was hit.
In another instance, two gang members allegedly chased a black man, yelled a racist epithet at him and then beat him with a garden rake. The same man was later repeatedly stabbed by two gang members, according to the indictment, which charges them with his attempted murder.
According to 2000 census data, the latest available, Hawaiian Gardens was roughly 73 percent Hispanic and 4 percent black.
The indictments mark at least the second time in less than two years that federal authorities have accused Latino gang members of attacking black residents because of their race. Local officials have tried to downplay racial tensions.
The investigation of the Varrio Hawaiian Gardens gang began in June 2005 after the murder of Los Angeles County sheriffs Deputy Luis Gerardo Jerry Ortiz. Jose Luis Orozco, a member of the gang, was sentenced to death in 2007 for the killing.
Ortiz, 35, died as he searched for Orozco, who had shot and wounded a man while he did yard work. Orozco was later found guilty of attempted murder in that case.
Following the murder of Deputy Ortiz, the Sheriffs Department sought federal and local assistance to help destroy the Hawaiian Gardens gang, OBrien said.
MANAGERS and staff of the Milk River Hotel and Spa returned to the facility yesterday to clean up after flood waters on Monday forced the evacuation of 13 guests as well as workers.
"We are thankful that nobody was physically hurt," Minister of Tourism Ed Bartlett said yesterday in a statement. "We are most grateful to members of the nearby fishing community who used their boats to transport guests to dry ground," the minister was quoted in a press release sent by his ministry.
In the meantime, the ministry said baths were being thoroughly disinfected and sanitised, and advised that the facility should be reopened today.
Bartlett disclosed that the persons who were affected by the floods would be offered complimentary accommodation at Milk River at a future date.In the meantime, he said discussions were being held with the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management and the Clarendon Parish Council to develop a strategy for handling any similar occurrence in the future. This, he said, will complement a comprehensive redevelopment programme, estimated at $150 million, which was being finalised.
Two policemen are being investigated following their suspected involvement in a gun salute at a dance which was held on Saturday in Charlemont, St Catherine.
One of the policemen is attached to the St Catherine North police while the other is attached to the Special Anti-Crime Task Force.
Information received by THE STAR says the dance was being held to celebrate a bar-opening. The bar belongs to a well-known 'don', THE STAR understands.
According to reports, personnel from the Linstead police went to the dance in the wee hours of the morning after being alerted that gunshots were being fired there. After arriving, the cops saw two men who aroused their suspicion were searched.
After firearms were found in the men's possession, they identified themselves as policemen.
loud and boisterous
Further reports are that the men became loud and boisterous, arguing that they should not have been treated in such a manner.
"A police team responded to an alert of shots being fired in the community and two men were searched at a dance there ... . The men turned out to be policemen but were offensively loud afterwards," Inspector Travis Hill of the Area 5 Police Division said.
It is also said that things got even more heated and the police team had to call for back-up.
The two policemen were taken to the Linstead Police Station where the clash reportedly continued.
Following the intervention of a senior officer, the men were disarmed, their hands swabbed and the guns sent for ballistic testing.
"Based on the information we have gathered, the shots that were fired were in salute of the don who kept the bar-opening. We cannot say they were involved in the salute until the result of the ballistics tests are out," Inspector Hill explained. My youth don't annoy mi, cause when mi sting mi nuh miss. A late night joyride turned deadly on Monday when a pickup truck driven by a 15-year-old boy crashed into a utility pole along the Port Henderson main road in Portmore, St Catherine killing three children.
Police identified the dead children as 14-year-old Oshane Salmon; Crystal Robinson, 15; and her brother, Matthew Brown, 10, who the cops said were among a group of six youngsters travelling in the motor vehicle at the time of the accident.

Police said the force of the impact resulted in the three being thrown from the bed of the pickup to their deaths.
The underaged driver, who allegedly took the vehicle owned by his father without his permission, was treated for minor injuries at hospital and released into police custody. The cops are, however, searching for the other two passengers, who they said fled the scene after the accident.
They were all from the 3 East community in Greater Portmore.
Head of traffic at the Greater Portmore Police Station, Inspector Michael Llewellyn, said the accident occurred about 11:30 pm when the youngster lost control of the vehicle.
"They were heading towards Kingston and on reaching the vicinity of the Jolly's Seafood Restaurant the motor truck developed a skid, and the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then collided into a utility pole," said Llewellyn. "Four of the persons who were travelling in the back of the truck were thrown from the vehicle."
Ten year-old Matthew Brown (left), and 14 year-old Oshane Salmon, who both died in a motor vehicle collision in Portmore, St Catherine on Monday night. |
Llewellyn said that when police arrived on the crash scene, only the driver and the three injured children were seen. They were taken to hospital where the driver was treated and the others pronounced dead.
The police suspect that at least one of the other passengers may have suffered serious injuries.
They said the driver could be charged in connection with the incident.
"He was speeding. It is obvious that he was speeding," said Llewellyn. "He is liable to be charged with speeding, death by dangerous driving, driving away a motor vehicle without the owner's consent, and driving without a driver's licence and insurance coverage."
He said that the accused boy's father had been questioned by the cops, and that he had provided a written statement on the incident. It was unclear, however, whether he will be charged with any offences.
The ill-fated beige Isuzu vehicle, registered 7480 AZ, was taken to the Bridgeport Police Station for processing.
The incident left two families and the entire 3 East community in mourning.
Residents yesterday gathered at the homes of the victims to offer support to the children's seemingly inconsolable parents and guardian.
For 56-year-old Olive Atkinson, grandmother of Crystal and Matthew, her grief was made even more unbearable after she informed the children's mother, who is currently in the United States, about their deaths.
The last time she saw her grandchildren alive, she said, was when Matthew asked her for money to purchase ice-cream, and when she sent Crystal to put garbage outside.
An hour later, she received the grim news that they were both dead.
"They (neighbours) didn't even want to tell me, I just saw the crowd and was asking what happen. They just kept on telling me 'nothing Ms Olive, nothing'. But by the time I came up here, somebody told me that my granddaughter died," the woman recalled, gripping the grille on her veranda, her head bowed.
Next door, Oshane's father, Constable Wayne Salmon, reflected on the last moments of his son's life and whispered, to no one in particular: "My son deserves a second chance."
He had just finished watching highlights of Labour Day activities with his boy and was about to retire to bed when the youngster stepped out of the house, he said.
"My son is not a bad boy, he is easily controlled. He is not a boy that gives trouble. I don't know what caused him to go with them, I don't know, I don't know." he repeated, while shaking his head.
Salmon said the tragedy left his wife so traumatised that she has not left her bed.
Not even the handful of residents who congregated in her living room and prayed offered her any solace.

Real Madrid has been trying to sign the 24-year-old Portugal winger for nearly two seasons and former president Florentino Perez is on the verge of heading the club again.
Perez, who fronted the Spanish club's "galactico" years, has promised to buy big names this offseason.
Ronaldo, a lifelong Madrid fan, has never hid his desire to one day play for a club that manager Alex Ferguson has labeled a mob for its tactics of trying to unsettle Ronaldo.
Perez, responsible for bringing Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham and Ronaldo to Santiago Bernabeu Stadium during his six-year tenure, has said he was ready to spend three years' worth of money on players for next season.
Ronaldo started strong against Barcelona at Stadio Olimpico, nearly scoring after two minutes.
Although he managed six shots on goal, the 24-year-old winger was largely phased out as Barcelona dominated.
"Everything went wrong," Ronaldo said. "We started well in the game but after we didn't do nothing. We didn't control the game and we lost. I think Barcelona played better than us and they deserved to win."
United didn't respond to the challenge, according to Ronaldo.
"Everyone expects Manchester to do something in the game and it didn't happen," Ronaldo said. "(We) didn't play fantastic, (we) didn't control the game, we didn't do the right thing, we lost goals and that's what's happened tonight."
Ronaldo refused to comment on his hyped matchup against Lionel Messi, who posted his 38th goal of the season.
"No, the game was between Manchester and Barcelona, it wasn't a duel between anyone in particular," Ronaldo said.
Although United didn't defend its European trophy, Ronaldo still finished the season with a league, League Cup and Club World Cup triumphs.
"I'm sure I'm going to play more finals," Ronaldo quipped.
The 4-year-old daughter of boxer Mike Tyson died at a hospital Tuesday, a day after her neck apparently got caught in a treadmill cord at her Phoenix home.
Exodus Tyson was pronounced dead just before noon, police spokesman Andy Hill said. She had been on life support since the accident Monday.
There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus, the Tyson family said in a statement. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal.
Police said Exodus either slipped or put her head in the loop of a cord hanging under the console. Her 7-year-old brother found her and told their mother. She took Exodus off the cord, called the emergency dispatcher and tried to revive her.
Responding officers and firefighters performed cardiopulminory resuscitation as they took the girl to the hospital.
Former heavyweight champion Tyson was in Las Vegas at the time of the accident and flew Monday to Phoenix, where he was seen entering the hospital.
Tyson spokeswoman Cynthia Schwartz said the family had not arranged a funeral yet.

Ronaldo wants to continue his manager's winning run in European finals.
And Ronaldo, who admits his affection for Spanish football, claims that means much more to him than winning the world footballer of the year trophy last season when he beat Barcelona's Lionel Messiinto second place.
Ronaldo said: "I like the Spanish league. I feel well in England in the Premier League, it is the strongest league. Barcelona have a great team which deserves respect but I believe we are better than them and we will show it.
"I respect Barcelona profoundly. Messi is playing marvellously well. I want to be sincere. I have to play well tomorrow for the team and the supporters. I look forward to it and I think it will be really special.
"I don't care about the Ballon D'or. What I want more is to win the Champions League. That's it.
"I just want to be the first team in history to win it twice."
Ronaldo has dismissed any fears about playing in white, like the Real Madrid side who were annihilated 6-2 by Barcelona recently.
He also insisted he is happy to carry the burden of the spotlight which constantly surrounds him.
"It's normal that people speak about me but I am 100% focused on this game," he said.
"I try to help my team 100%, score a goal and win the game. That's it."
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson also gave an insight into what makes Ronaldo United's most potent threat and why he constantly conjures up feats such as the 41-yard free-kick screamer which broke Arsenal hearts in the semi-final second leg at the Emirates.
Ferguson said: "There's no mystery. He's always out there after the team training has finished, practising his shots. The great players don't rely on their natural ability, they practice to make sure they have that something extra.
"In the semi-final against Arsenal I could tell he was going to hit it, from the body shape, even though it was so far out."
Ryan Giggs claims Real Madrid have only their glittering history to offer his Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo as the pair stand on the brink of winning yet another trophy
With United enjoying such dominance in recent times, Giggs can see few reasons for Ronaldo to leave when Real resume their inevitable pursuit of the Portugal winger this summer.
"He is at the best club," Giggs told The Sun.
"Cristiano has proved he is the best player in the world over the last couple of years and he has done that at United, so why leave?
"He's still a young player, still learning the game and can still improve. He can do that at United."
Real have been a distant second to Barcelona in La Liga this season and were also thrashed 5-0 by Liverpool over two legs in the Champions League last 16.
Giggs added: "Real Madrid will come back purely because of the club they are and the history they have got.
"But United are more stable.
PHOENIX (AP) - Police say the 4-year-old daughter of boxer Mike Tyson has died a day after her neck accidentally was caught in a treadmill cord while she was playing at home.
Phoenix police spokesman Andy Hill said Exodus Tyson was pronounced dead in a hospital just before noon on Tuesday. Police have said an investigation showed it was a "tragic accident."

Babel: Has been relegated to a bench role.
He has reportedly asked for assurances that he will be given more of an opportunity next season.
But following discussions with the player's agent, Winnie Haatrecht, Benitez has been unable to offer such guarantees after starting with Babel only six times in the Premier League this term.
It has appeared likely for some time that Benitez would be prepared to listen to offers for Babel, and now he is ready to use the 22 year-old to raise cash.
The youngster, who is priced out of a return to Ajax, from whom he joined the Reds, has admirers in England, with Aston Villa, Tottenham and Arsenal believed to be showing interest.
Benitez needs cash to fund a spending spree that could bring Carlos Tevez, David Silva andGareth Barry to Merseyside.
Barry's future at Villa is again in doubt with the club's owner Randy Lerner claiming the player would stay at Villa Park after discussions started over a new contract.
But Barry is known to want Champions League football, and Liverpool could sweeten a possible move by including Babel as bait. Villa still want £10m for Barry and a swap deal may suit all parties.
Police were called by residents of an apartment complex in Federal Way, Washington, after they saw the man standing above the air intake wearing only an unbuttoned shirt.
According to the police report, he 'was apparently manipulating' his penis using a piece of string, 'like a puppet.'
Authorities say the man, identified as 44-year-old Timothy Wayne Martin, was arrested at the scene, with the string still attached to his penis. He was also found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and a porn magazine.
He now faces a felony charge of indecent exposure, for which he has two prior convictions.
A 27-year-old cop who was gunned down on the weekend as he tried to foil a robbery was on Sunday hailed for his sacrificial gallantry.
Dead is Constable Marlon Samms, who was attached to the Linstead Police Station.
As gloom swept through the town of Linstead, members of the Orangefield Pentecostal Church in St Catherine visited the station on Sunday morning to console Samms' grieving colleagues.
"We are with the police and their mourning is also ours. I hope that those responsible for the death of this policeman will be brought to justice,'' said Elder Elvis Hamilton.
Responded to robbery call
The police told The Gleaner that about 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Samms responded to a call from a nearby betting shop. He was shot by one of three gunmen who had robbed the shop.
An off-duty policeman who was nearby retrieved his dying colleague's gun and engaged the gunmen.
During the shoot-out, one of the attackers, who was later identified as Kemar Goulbourne, a 21-year-old labourer of Banbury district, near Linstead, was killed. Samms died at the Kingston Public Hospital. The police are still searching for the other two robbers.
Yesterday, Minister of National Security Senator Dwight Nelson lauded the bravery of the late policeman while highlighting the dangerous conditions under which law enforcement officers work.
The minister used the opportunity to implore law-abiding residents to support the fight against crime.
The security ministry said Samms was the fifth cop murdered since January.
Increase in reported crime
Meanwhile, the latest statistics from the Jamaica Constabulary Force Crime Review have shown an increase in the number of crimes reported for the period April 1-30 of this year when compared with the corresponding period last year.
In 2008, a total of 718 crimes were reported but this figure rose to 880 this year. For the same period, there has been an increase in shootings, with this year seeing 148 cases as against 128 a year ago.
Compared with last year, the murder rate in the metro areas of St Catherine, St Andrew and Kingston declined from 68 per cent to 59 per cent. However, in the rural areas, there was an increase from 32 to 41 per cent.
Rape and carnal abuse reports have also seen marginal declines.
There have been improvements in the number of arrests that were made by the police. For the corresponding period last year, 474 arrests were made in the Corporate Area, but this jumped to 528 this year. Arrests in the rural areas also increased, moving from 747 in 2008 to 1,069.
The Reggae Boyz battled back from a sloppy first half, surrendering the lead and their captain, to snatch a late equaliser and a 2-2 draw in a testy football international against Haiti here on Saturday night.
Striker Nicholas Addlery, on his Jamaica senior team debut, opened the scoring for the Boyz in the 29th minute by booting home a rebound after his initial shot on a breakaway was blocked by Haiti's goalkeeperPeterson Occenat.
But Jamaica's lead was cancelled 10 minutes later when substitute Jean Robens Jerome capitalised on one of several glaring errors in marking by Jamaica's defence to slice a low cross from Raymond Ednerson inside goalkeeper Shawn Sawyers' far post.
Jamaica, like Haiti using the match at Lockhart Stadium as part of their tune-up for July's CONCACAF Gold Cup, watched their problems worsen in the 45th minute when captain Claude Davis received his second yellow card and marching orders following a thunderous, but ill-timed challenge on Haiti's Vaniel Sirin near midfield. It was not the start coach John Barnes had in mind.
"Going down to 10 men wasn't part of the plan, obviously," said Barnes, who called the collision "a complete accident" and labelled American referee Jair Marrufo's decision to eject the big central defender "harsh". Davis had picked up his first caution in the 18th minute.
Short on quality
Playing a man short for an entire second half was not an exciting prospect for Jamaica, even with the majority of the enthusiastic supporters in a less-than-half filled stadium on their side. The Boyz, employing a new 4-4-2 formation, fell far short on quality in the first stanza by failing to keep possession of the ball and lacking any sense of rhythm.
While Barnes praised his players' "character and belief" as the game wore on, he admitted that Jamaica faltered early.
"As a team, we didn't pass the ball well," the coach said after the-match. "... At times, I think we panicked, rushed."
To regain order and compensate for Davis' loss, the coach reshuffled Jamaica's line-up at the break. Left back Andre Campbell and forward Roland Dean, who missed a few golden opportunities to score, were replaced by veteran Ian Goodison in central defence and Oraine Simpson in midfield. Eric Vernon was slotted in at right back, Rafe Wolfe switched to Campbell's role and Addlery was left alone up front as Jamaica tried to step up the pressure.
Haiti did not back off. A torrid right-foot shot from Markorel Samleus forced a full stretch save from Sawyers in the 55th minute. But the French Caribbean team grabbed the lead 10 minutes later.
Jamaica's defence was badly exposed by a raking diagonal ball which found Jerome in full stride on the left flank. Teammate Lesly Fellinga slipped easily between disorganised marking to meet his cross.
With Jamaica scrambling to cope, Haiti spilled other chances to put the game out of reach. In the 74th minute, Jamaica were again caught on the counter-attack. But after neatly pulling down a cross from the left flank, Leonel Saint Prelix booted wide from inside the box.
88th-minute header
Still, Jamaica pressed for the equaliser, at times pushing Goodison into attack as the clock ticked towards full time. The Boyz came close in the 85th minute. Midfielder Richard Edwards rifled a powerful low shot that was turned around the post by Occenat. But Haiti's goalkeeper was unable to stop Damion Stewart's lunging header off the post, from Jason Morrison's floated free kick, that put Jamaica even in the 88th minute.
Sawyers, however, would be called on one more time to save Jamaica from defeat. Jean Marc Alexandre's swerving left-foot blast forced the keeper to pull off another diving save on the stroke of full time.
Despite the draw, Haiti's coach Jairo Rios was full of praise for his team, which he said was not intimidated by reigning Caribbean champions and higher-ranked Jamaica.
"Haiti did a great job," the Col****ian said through a translator. (Jamaica) probed like we expected, but for us this is very, very good news."
Did not play well
Barnes admitted his "team did not play well as a whole", but said he was not surprised by Haiti's aggressive showing in a match that added three other cautions to Davis' pair.
"I knew they had quality," he said. "I expected a hard match and I got that."
Jamaica will get a quick chance to improve when they return to the United Sates to face El Salvador on Saturday in Washington D.C. The coach will accept nothing less.
"What I demand from them is quality," Barnes said.
The indicators are that two-time Olympic champion Veronica Campbell-Brown is back on track after being sidelined for more than a month with an inflamed toe.
One week before the defending 100-metre World Champion is set to take the track in the 100-metre sprint at the Reebok Grand Prix in New York, she clocked a wind-aided but still impressive 10.81 seconds to win the short sprint at a meet in Florida on Saturday. The wind reading was +3.2m/s.
As she prepares for the 12th International Amateur Athletic Federation World Athletics Championships in Berlin in August, Campbell-Brown, who gets an automatic bye into the event, missed five weeks of training because of her injury and missed several meets, including the Jamaica Invitational on May 2.
In an interview last week, she said training has been going well and that her run at the meet in Claremont was to allow her to see where she was in her perparation and work on technical elements of her race.
Equally impressive In the heats
In the heats when the wind was within the allowable +2.0-metre per second limit, Campbell-Brown clocked an equally impressive 11.02 seconds, which is among the fastest times in the world this year.
Only Jamaican Kerron Stewart (10.92 and 10.93) and American Carmelita Jeter 10.96 have run faster this year.

Authorities say theyve found a 555-pound South Carolina teen who disappeared with his mother.
Police say the two were located Thursday afternoon in Baltimore. Paramedics checked 14-year-old Alexander Drapers health before turning him over to the Maryland Department of Social Services.
South Carolina officials say they want the mother, 49-year-old Jerri Gray, extradited to that state, where she is accused of violating a custody order. Investigators didnt know if Gray had an attorney and relatives didnt respond to messages from The Associated Press.
The South Carolina Department of Social Services alerted deputies Tuesday. They say Gray missed a scheduled court appearance so officials could begin investigating claims of child neglect and endangerment.

This is not a bash per se at seo shat, but forum moderators in general, I tend to fall foul of their officer-esque court martialing. Its almost like forum moderators were bullied at school, didnt have the brawn or fitness to become cops, so settled for being a forum moderator.
Forum moderators go against most things we have the right to: Freedom of speech, there have been some right twats on forums in the past, which put me off using them. I suppose that is one of the benefits of having your own blog you can say what they hell you want.
